"If we’re at a party there’s normally two places you’ll find us, the kitchen or sifting through the CDs and Records near the stereo. So I thought it would be sweet to make the mix we gave to OLO as live as we could. I set up mics all over the living room so we could pick up everything, the cars, Mirte walking through, beers getting cracked open etc. For me the constant background noise added honesty and tension like in Taxi Driver or something. Phil came round my house in the afternoon and we just played for 4 hours or something like that. It was a totally laid back expeirience compared to Djing out in a bar or venue. No matter who you think you are you’re still self conscious when playing in public. P and me have hung out for like nearly 7 years so this session was just ace and natural to us.

We were asked recently to DJ at a night called 'Under The Influence' where you are asked to play music (and in our case other things) that has influenced you and your music in some way. "I have been into soft rock since I found a scruffy, empty cassette of "Out of the Blue" by ELO in the back of my mother's Volvo 360 in about 1992. I didn't actually hear the album until 2003. If I had a dream it would be to live in the world featured on Supertramp's 'Breakfast in America'. Both covers feature planes and flying and I didn't do that until 2000, so I suppose softrock for me is all about escapism, possibilities and longing. The other album my mother kept in her car was The Very Best of Chris De Burgh..."

"A bunch of songs that rock me. As a band we can never agree on what music to listen to in the car, apart from bands like Deerhoof and Liars which we all seem to enjoy. But i guess at the moment i'm into music that has quite dense instrumentation and lots of singing, and also stuff thats quite melodramatic and tells a story. The song at the end is by Man Man. I think at the moment both this band and the Dirty Projectors manage to capture everything I love about music. Dear Radio Fans,
Oh my!! We are soo sorry we were off air for soo long. This will not happen again! To be honest there is no real reason for the absence other than..we got fat and lazy. So unfortunately this meant there was no Christmas or Best of the Year podcast.
